My story - Choose your own path - review
This is a multitude of stories that you can interact with. I have only installed it recently and I can't say I know very much about the stories, but the first story: Dear Mona is amazing.
The characters look good, the graphics is great and in every chapter there is some action. You are supposed to be a girl named Mona, but you can choose any name you want.
The story is progressive and the best part is that the choices you make affect the story. The not so cute part is that some interesting choices cost diamonds which do not come cheap. There's almost every 2 chapters a choice with diamonds.
I did not get to find out what the guy I was dating wanted so badly to tell me because I do not like spending money on mobile games. You can get a weekly subscription, but that from I what I understand it doesn't contain diamonds, only tickets to read the next chapter of a story.
After the first 3 tickets you have to wait for an hour to get another ticket. If you wait 24 hours you don't get 24 tickets, you only get a ticket that you have to consume on a chapter if you want it refilled. This is not so great.
I am not willing to pay to read this content because the chapters are small. Maybe I could compare the content with comic books - the action with pictures seems to be the same trait here. But it's nothing like comic books. A chapter in comic books is much longer and more fulfilling. It's true that those are already written and you don't get to choose where your character will go next, but here are not so many choices as they may seem.
There are lots of similar options, and I think they lead to the same direction, maybe except when you pay with diamonds. I am trying not to write any spoilers but there's this part where you say to a guy that you love him. And you can only say it in 2 different ways. The outcome will be the same.
There are different events where you can dress up and change your hair - this happens of course if you have diamonds. If not, everything will stay the same and you will get a default outfit which is free. Sometimes the outfit is nice, other times I'd prefer not to look at it too much.
You can get a ticket by watching an add. The issue here is that I couldn't watch any adds. Either they are not loading, or it opened google play at the application from the add (my guess is before the add was finished) and I got no ticket. I tried restarting the game and going for an add several times, with no luck.
1. Would I continue to play it?
I am not very sure here.
2. Is this game time consuming?
Yes. If you are not willing to pay you have to continuously check it every hour and read one small chapter in order to get more tickets to continue reading the chapters.
3. Will I get bored of it?
Yes, but not the game or stories, I will get tired of waiting.
4. Would I recommend it?
No. It gets frustrating to wait. I will try to read a little from time to time and I will end up uninstalling it.
This game gets from me a total rating of 3 stars out of 5.
